Where is GAL camp hosted?

GAL camp’s roots will always be based in Texas, but we’ve expanded into North Carolina as well! You’ll now be able to experience GAL camp twice a year, in two different locations:

Can I come alone, or do I need to come with a group?

You don’t need a group, but you do need one bestie to share a bed with (unless you’re a total boss who wants to pay for a whole bed to spread out on; in that case — you go, boss!) Whether you bring a large group or come solo, expect to leave with NEW camp friends.

What is included with the purchase of a ticket?

• 3 days and 2 nights of lodging in a beautiful cabin
  (campers are expected to share a queen size bed with another camper)

• 2 dinners, 2 breakfasts, 1 lunch

• Official GAL t-shirt

• Crafts and supplies

• Games and competitions

• Fun music performances and experiences

• New best friends

• And so much more!!

What are the sleeping arrangements?

While this is a camp, we are adults now, who have come to value a good night’s sleep on a mattress. Make sure to check out the accommodations page for NC here and for TX here for the details on each location’s specific lodging accommodations.

How do I make sure that I get to bunk with my bestie?

There will be a space for you to put your requested roommate’s names! We do our damndest to make sure that you lodge with exactly who you want, but sometimes people have to spread around.

If you have a larger group, it’s really just a numbers game based on how all the other groups are split up and the different rooms. So fingers crossed for a beautiful lodging assignment split!

Is GAL camp completely private?

The experience of GAL camp is completely private. All organized activities will take place in areas that are for GALs only. There are, however, a couple of areas that are open to the public.

For our North Carolina Campground, there are RV sites that are booked through BRC. The clubhouse is private for our use only!

For our Texas campground, it’s all us baby! Pools, cabins, and grounds are reserved for GAL campers only.

What is the refund policy?

We understand life, emergencies, tragedies, and pandemics happen, but due to the nature of this business, no refunds of any kind are allowed. If for any reason you can not make it to camp, you are more than welcome to transfer or sell your ticket to someone else. GAL camp will not be responsible for collecting, and refunding if this transaction takes place. Please note all items are custom-made with each camper’s name and information, so no guarantee can be made that items can be updated in time with new camper info.
